Invest in players. Beat the market.
How to play
Forget points. How much money can you make?
There are two games here, and they share one thing: nothing scores except the price of a player. Goals and clean sheets might move a price, but the price is the only thing that counts.
Football Fund Manager
Pick ten players with £60.0m
You choose the squad and trade it yourself. No FPL team needed. This is the main game.
FPL Money League
Your real FPL team, valued
Connect your Team ID and your existing squad and mini-league come with you. Nothing to manage — it follows your FPL transfers.
You can play both. They are ranked separately, because they start from different money and follow different rules.
Football Fund Manager — the rules
1.You start with £60.0m
Enough to buy two of the most expensive players in the league, and never three. That is the whole game: spending it is the decision.
Hold fewer than 10 players and the rest stays as cash. Cash does not move, which is a genuine choice when the market is falling.
2.Up to 10 players, any you like
No positions to fill, no club limits, no captain and no bench. You cannot own the same player twice, and that is the only restriction there is.
3.Trade whenever you want
Buy and sell at the latest captured FPL price, as often as you like. There are no gameweek deadlines and no free-transfer allowance — this is not FPL.
Buying is always free, and your first sale each day is free as well. After that, selling costs £0.1m. The free sale resets when the night's prices land and it does not roll over — an unused one is simply gone, the same way FPL treats a free transfer you never made.
So one considered move a day costs nothing, and churning costs £0.1m a go. FPL moves a price by £0.1m at a time, so a paid swap has to gain a single price move before it was worth doing. One good decision a day is free; ten hunches are not.
4.Valued every night
FPL changes prices at about half past one in the morning. We capture them, value every fund, and update the rankings — so you wake up to a new number without doing anything.
Nothing you do during the day is scored until then. There is no advantage to watching it.
5.Beat the market, not just the others
Funds are ranked on percentage return, and everybody starts from the same £60.0m, so the table is a fair comparison from day one.
The number that actually matters is the one next to it. The Footsie Index is every Premier League player, equally weighted, starting at 100.00 on the first day of the season. If the index is up 3% and your fund is up 2%, you have made money and still lost — you would have done better owning a bit of everything.
So what are you actually trying to do?
Find players whose price is about to rise, before it does. FPL moves a player's price based on how many managers are buying and selling them, so you are really predicting what the rest of the country is about to do — a player who has just scored twice, a cheap defender about to get a run of games, somebody returning from injury.
Cheap players move more
A £0.1m rise on a £4.0m defender is 2.5%. On Haaland it is 0.6%. Both add the same £0.1m to your fund, so the cheap end is not the bargain bin — it is most of a good fund.
Cash is a position
You do not have to hold ten. Cash moves 0% while the market moves, so sitting on some is a genuine call when you think prices are falling — and right now the index is below where it started.
Use it or lose it
One free sale a day, and it does not bank. Most nights more players fall than rise, so the best use of it is usually dropping something on the way down rather than chasing whoever went up.
FPL Money League — the rules
The other game: your real FPL team, seen through the same lens. Connect your Team ID and we track what your existing squad is worth all season.
1.Connect your FPL team
Enter your FPL Team ID and we import your existing 15-player squad. There is no second team to manage — you carry on making all your transfers through FPL exactly as you do now.
Fantasy Fund Manager is read-only and cannot make changes to your FPL account.
2.Everyone starts from £100m
Your performance is measured against the standard £100m starting FPL budget. If your portfolio is worth £106.4m, you have generated:
£6.4m profit|+6.4% return
3.Joining late costs you nothing
Sign up in October and we still build your whole season. FPL publishes every transfer you have ever made and the price you actually paid for it, so we replay the lot from your first gameweek — your profit is the season's profit, not the profit since you found us.
You appear on the leaderboard straight away, with the same figures as somebody who signed up in August.
If your FPL team itself started after Gameweek 1, we start you where FPL did and the leaderboard says so — Started GW3, or whichever week it was. Your opening squad is priced from that gameweek, which makes it an estimate to the nearest tenth: FPL tells us what you paid for transfers, but never what you paid for your first fifteen.
4.Points don't matter
Goals, assists, clean sheets and bonus points might influence player prices — but FPL points themselves count for nothing here.
A manager with 1,500 FPL points and £110m of value beats a manager with 2,500 points and £108m. This is about value, not points.
5.Player values follow FPL
We use official FPL player prices, captured every night. When a player rises from £6.0m to £6.1m, the value of that player in your portfolio rises too. When their price falls, so does your portfolio.
Your value updates automatically every night. You do not need to do anything.
6.Your whole squad counts
All 15 players in your FPL squad form your portfolio. There are no captains, starting XIs or benches here.
Every player is an investment.
7.Transfers come from your FPL team
Keep playing FPL normally. When you make a permanent transfer, press Refresh from FPL on your dashboard and we replay it at the price you actually paid.
Temporary Free Hit squads never replace your underlying portfolio.
8.Extra transfers cost you money
Your free transfer is free. Every extra transfer that FPL penalises with -4 costs you £0.1m from your cash.
Points do not matter here, so this is what stops reckless trading being free.
9.Highest profit wins
Your dashboard tracks four numbers:
Portfolio value·Profit·Return·Rank
Finish the season having generated more profit than everyone else.

Football Fund Manager
Do I need an FPL team to play?
No. Football Fund Manager is completely separate — you pick ten players from the whole Premier League and manage them yourself. If you do have an FPL team you can connect it as well, but it is a different competition.
What actually makes my fund go up?
Only one thing: the official FPL price of the players you hold. FPL moves prices based on how many managers are buying and selling a player, so a player everybody is piling into rises and a player everybody is dropping falls.
Goals, assists and clean sheets do not score here. They matter only insofar as they make other people buy that player.
My player got injured. What happens?
Nothing, immediately. An injury is not a scoring event here. What usually follows is that people sell them, which pushes the price down — so the damage arrives through the market rather than from the injury itself.
Why is my fund below £60m when none of my players have fallen?
Trading costs. Your first sale each day is free, but any after that cost £0.1m each, so a fund that has churned is down by those fees before the players have done anything. Build a fund and leave it alone and it sits at exactly £60m.
Can I change my picks after I have built the fund?
Yes, in two ways. Until the next overnight prices land you can start again from scratch for nothing — useful if you misclicked. After that the market has moved and the fund is yours. Changing it then means using your free daily sale, or paying £0.1m, like everybody else.
How does the free sale each day work?
Buying never costs anything. On top of that, the first time you sell after each night's prices land is free — so one considered move a day costs you nothing at all.
It does not roll over. An unused free sale is gone once the next prices arrive, exactly like an FPL free transfer you never made. Any further sales that day cost £0.1m each.
It resets on the prices rather than on the clock, so you cannot use one at midnight and another a minute later against the same set of prices.
Do I have to hold ten players?
No — ten is the maximum, not a requirement. Holding fewer leaves the rest as cash, which does not move with the market. That is a real strategy when you think prices are falling, and a real cost when they are rising.
What is the Footsie Index?
Every Premier League player we hold a price for, equally weighted, starting at 100.00 on the first day of the season. It is the market as one number.
It exists so you can tell the difference between being good and being lucky. A fund up 3% in a market up 4% has lost to the market; a fund down 1% in a market down 3% has beaten it. Your position against the index is on your fund page and in the rankings.
What happens if a player leaves the Premier League?
They are sold out of your fund at the last price we captured for them, and the money returns to your cash. You will be a player short until you buy somebody, which is allowed — ten is a maximum.
Can I play both games?
Yes, and they do not affect each other. Your fund and your connected FPL team are separate entries with separate money, separate rules and separate tables.
FPL Money League
Do I need to create another fantasy team?
No. Fantasy Fund Manager uses the FPL team you already have. Enter your Team ID and we do the rest.
Can Fantasy Fund Manager change my FPL team?
No. The connection is read-only. We never ask for your FPL password and we can never change anything in your FPL account.
You continue making transfers and managing your team through FPL as normal. We simply track what happens to its value.
Do my FPL points count?
No. You could have a terrible FPL gameweek but a great Fantasy Fund Manager week if the value of your players goes up.
Likewise, a player can score plenty of FPL points and still be a poor investment if you bought them at the wrong time. Points win FPL. Profit wins here.
How is my portfolio value calculated?
We take the current market value of all 15 players in your squad and add any cash you are holding. We then compare that against the £100m starting point to work out your profit and your percentage return.
Why is my value different from the one FPL shows me?
Because FPL shows you a selling price. If a player rises £0.2m, FPL only credits you half of that rise. It is telling you what you would get if you sold today.
We value your squad at its full market price, because you are being measured as an investor rather than on what you would raise in a fire sale. So our number is usually the higher of the two, and the gap grows as your squad rises. Neither figure is wrong — they answer different questions.
What happens when I make a transfer?
Make your transfer normally through FPL. Then press Refresh from FPL on your dashboard and we pick up the change, replaying it at the price you actually paid.
Prices update on their own every night, so this is only needed when your squad changes.
What happens when I use a Wildcard or a Free Hit?
Wildcard: your squad changes are permanent, so they are reflected in your portfolio in full.
Free Hit: we ignore the temporary squad and carry on tracking your underlying permanent one. This stops a one-gameweek team artificially changing your investments.
What if I join after the season has started?
You can still join. We rebuild your season from FPL's own record of every transfer you have made, so your profit is reconstructed from the prices you actually paid rather than estimated.
If your FPL team itself started late, the leaderboard marks you as Started GW3 — or whichever gameweek it was — so nobody is compared against a season they were not playing.
What is the Footsie 100?
The Footsie 100 is our leaderboard of the top 100 fund managers. Your dashboard shows your overall position, and the leaderboard itself shows how much profit stands between you and 100th place if you are outside it.
There is only one objective: make the most of your £100m.
